Cycle Cat - Sprocket Covers

Cycle Cat has been dormant for the last four years, but no longer! Immediately after the first announcement of its rebirth the community has delivered a message loud and clear: Cycle Cat products have been sorely missed in the Ducati and motorcycle community in general.

Sales and Returns Policy and Warranty:

Cycle Cat wants satisfied customers, period. While sales and return policies are determined by the dealers selling our products, we encourage them to accept any standard (not custom) unused Cycle Cat regardless of reason, for a full refund, less freight charges, if any.

Cycle Cat unconditionally warrants its products to be free from defects and will repair or replace any component which fails to install or perform as represented. No warrantees are made, either expressed or implied, with respect to products which have been modified in any way or subjected to crash damage.

Because Cycle Cat cannot anticipate every possible application or installation issue which may arise in specific cases, we ask our dealers to contact us directly with any product performance issue, not clearly covered by our warranty, which we will give prompt attention toward an equitable resolution. Because it bears somewhat on this subject, please take a moment to read this article fully.

Something we haven't covered? If we've missed something email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . We do check email constantly and try to respond quickly. More to the point, we love hearing from other enthusiasts, and will always do everything we can to be of assistance.

Cycle Cat products are designed and manufactured strictly for racing applications or incorporation on street machines which are used for racing. They are not intended for street use, and some products may, in some localities, be illegal for use on the street.

Motorcycle racing is a dangerous activity. While every effort has been made to ensure that Cycle Cat products are designed and manufactured to the highest possible quality standards, Cycle Cat and its parent, Calovini Industries LLC, cannot assume responsibility for property damage or personal injury incurred by or concurrent with the use of Cycle Cat products, even if such damage or injury is the direct result of the failure of a Cycle Cat product.

Cycle Cat assumes individuals performing the installation of its products to be qualified race mechanics, who can make the judgements and adjustments which may be necessary in the installation process, and which cannot be anticipated by Cycle Cat in advance, in order that the installation is a safe and proper one. Cycle Cat assumes no responsibility for damage or personal injury which may be caused by the manner in which Cycle Cat products are installed.

If you use Cycle Cat products, you use them at your own risk.

We want you to be healthy, to ride safely, and enjoy a long lifetime of motorcycling. Please do not use any product if you are uncertain of your ability to properly install it. If you are uncertain about your ability to properly install or use any Cycle Cat product, you may return it unused at any time for a full refund.

It is a bit of a departure for Cycle Cat to make a side stand, but in the case of the Ducati Monsters, there were so many reasons to do so, and so many customers requesting replacement side stands, that we added the DKS series to our line.

The design intent with the DKS side stands was to address the modifications to ride height made by many Monster owners, as well as make it possible to improve the resting angle on many Monsters equipped, as stock, with side stands which seem a little too short, resulting in an extreme, and often alarming, attitude for the bike when parked. We wanted to accomplish this with a very strong, very stable solution which was not only lighter than the stock piece, but hopefully, more beautiful as well.

To address all of the design criteria, we settled on three products, identical in function, but each of a different length, keeping the engineering simple and elegant. Of course, we included Cycle Cat's proprietary adjustable retraction stop, which enables the user to adjust the retracted position of the stand, for clearance of aftermarket pipes, or simply, adjustment for rider preference.

Which Stand Is Right for You?

The DKS-15 is designed for bikes which have been, or will be, lowered. If one has otherwise modified the ride height, and has a stock stand on the bike, place the bike on the stock side stand, then tilt it up to the desired resting angle, making sure to leave its weight on the suspension, as it would normally be at rest. Then, by measuring the space beneath the stock stand and the ground, one can get a good estimate of how much needs to be added to stock length to achieve the preferred resting angle.

For example, if the bike is stock, but seems to lean at too extreme an angle, and at the preferred resting angle, the stock side stand is about 1/2" off the ground, the DKS-35 would be the correct choice.

At first glance, it may not be obvious how a side stand fits into Cycle Cat's line of performance products. In fact, adjustments in ride height, and damage caused by racing mishaps, are a part of the world of peformance, and Cycle Cat's KS series rearstands are designed to provide a range of options to address specific requirements, whether brought about through replacement or tuning.

The design intent with the DKS 11, 31, and 71 side stands is to address the modifications to ride height made by many owners of S4Rs and superbikes, as well as make it possible to improve the resting angle on many bikes equipped, as stock, with side stands which seem a little too short, resulting in an extreme, and often alarming, attitude for the bike when parked. The HTC2 is carved by CNC machines out of solid billet aluminum, exclusively for the Honda RC-51.

Designed to integrate with the aerodynamic, muscular character of the bike, the HTC2 is an extraordinary addition to an extraordinary motorcycle.

Rigid, strong, and light-weight, the HTC2 makes its own statement through the proprietary trellis design, refined to integrate completely with the RC-51's unique styling.

The HTC2 replaces the stock top triple clamp and clamp cover, permitting the use of Cycle Cat rips multi-adjustable bar mounting systems. It also provides for raising the fork tubes (lowering the front end of the bike). While the HTC2 is designed to be used with the Cycle Cat rips system, once in place, the HTC2 will permit the use of any appropriate clip on.

As with all Cycle Cat triple clamps, the HTC2 is machined to Cycle Cat's unsurpassed standards, then sealed and surface-hardened in a choice of four anodized finishes. The HTC2 is also available in chrome
